Keep on rolling

Posted from Girona, Catalonia, Spain.

Today I started early, made a short route of only 65 km and came at noon already to Girona. It was a wise decision, because the heat has finally also come to Catalonia. It has more than 30ºC today.
This morning it was a scenic drive, mostly on small roads without traffic and through green pastures. It was much more hilly than before with constant up and downs. I progressed slowly and made quite a few stops to take photos and stretch the legs. This is good for the knees, they are slowly recovering and today I enjoyed an almost pain free riding.
Girona is a nice little town and it is a little bit like coming home, as two years ago we spent a couple of days in the summer holidays with the family here. This week they have a flower festival where they put real artworks of flower decorations all over the place. It seems to be quite famous as the town is full of tourists.
Tonight I will invite my bike to a romantic dinner for two in the Celler de Can Roca. This restaurant is around the corner, holds three Michelin stars and in 2013 it was named the best restaurant in the world.

Todays route: 64,49 km

WoW! Also viel Spass.
