Like god in France
Posted from Mâcon, Burgundy, France.
I was going north today following and crossing several times the river Saône. It was a pleasant day on small roads without traffic and good temperature. The wind was notably less than in previous days, although still comes from the wrong direction. The knees did very well today after the magic cambodian massage and the relaxing lazy days in Lyon.
Short after moving off this morning I passed by at the restaurant “L´Auberge du Pont de Collonges”, the temple of the nouvelle cuisine of Paul Bocuse. The area around Lyon is known as a paradise for the lovers of good food and wine. I am currently testing this extensively and feel sometimes literally like god in France.
After having enjoyed the big city of Lyon in the past days now little Maçon doesn´t really look like the most exciting place on earth at first glance. I will go for a stroll to explore and stretch the legs.
Todays route: 74,92 km

Michael,
Bist Du nicht von der eigentlichen Route ab?
Good luck for tomorrow!

Ja, da bin ich flexibel
Just to avoid misunderstandings: I stood in front of the restaurant at 9.00 in the morning, I did NOT enter. But I have been in some nice little restaurants in Lyon with no such reputation like Bocuse’s place and all of them were excellent. If I only could tell the same about the french winds …
That’s great!!! French has good foods. And dont forget their desserts… 🙂
You stopped by Restaurant Paul Bocuse!!!! Excellent choice!! Now you really remember Lyon.
